Commercial Grade Another innovation we have recently introduced is our unfinished strand woven bamboo. The unfinished board is the same dimensions as the normal pre-finished product and retains the seal on the sides and underneath of the board for moisture protection. Once installed any compatible commercial timber finish can be applied. This can have specific advantages on individual projects, for instance, in the food court at Robina Town Shopping Centre we are able to meet the required R10 Slip Standard through the use of commercial non-slip finishes. The final appearance will also more closely resemble a traditional timber strip floor as the unfinished product does not need the edge bevel prevalent on pre-finished products. Ideally the unfinished board will offer all the stability, durability and beauty of the pre-finished product, the seamless appearance expected of traditional timber strip flooring, and the versatility of modern commercial timber finishes.

From left to right we have Stained Jarrah, Stained Walnut and standard Carbonised Bamboo all finished with a satin water based finish. You will note the lack of a bevel!
